The Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (Qld) Limited was established over 40 years ago to provide culturally competent legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families. This is primarily in the jurisdictions of criminal law, family law & child protection, and civil law (which includes human rights law, coronial enquiries, and other legal services).
We welcome students to our workplaces across Queensland, usually within one of our Brisbane or Regional offices. Students studying law, justice, indigenous studies, advocacy, or a combination relevant to our Vision and Mission are encouraged to apply.
While ATSILS does not generally offer internship fees to students we can provide a strong introduction to cultural competence and other invaluable learning experiences. We provide a diverse range of activity and opportunity in all our workplaces. In your application, please be specific about your requirements and submit the required supporting documents.
